In a significant upgrade to passenger amenities, the 12740/39 Secunderabad-Vishakhapatnam Garibrath Express is set to undergo a transformation with the introduction of new Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) 3rd AC Economy coaches, replacing the existing ICF rakes. This upgrade aims to provide a more comfortable and modern travel experience for passengers. The revamped service will commence from 22nd July, 2024.
The Indian Railways has consistently been working towards enhancing passenger comfort and safety, and this upgrade is a step in that direction. The LHB coaches, known for their superior ride quality, increased safety, and enhanced passenger comfort, are a significant improvement over the older ICF coaches.

In addition to replacing the existing rakes, an extra LHB 3rd AC Economy coach will be added, increasing the total number of coaches to 20. This will help accommodate more passengers and meet the increasing demand for this route.
The 12740 Garibrath Express departs from Secunderabad at 20:30 hrs and arrives in Vishakhapatnam at 08:00 hrs the next day. The return service, 12739, leaves Vishakhapatnam at 20:15 hrs and reaches Secunderabad at 08:00 hrs the following morning. This schedule remains unchanged, ensuring passengers can plan their journeys without any disruptions.
The upgrade to LHB coaches is expected to significantly enhance the travel experience for passengers, providing them with a safer, more comfortable, and modern environment. The additional coach will help reduce the waiting list and ensure that more passengers can avail of the improved services.
